top secret German tank project found

On this weekend I found the plan for a top secret unknown German tank!!
I believe the idea was to use common material, to save metal and other rare stuff and the production time should be not longer than 30 minutes. As far as I heard, none of these tanks ever arrived at the front.
For more details see the pictures:

and here what was left:

I wish you all happy holidays and a lot of presents!!

Famo with spade and recovery equipment

I have changed the design for the spade at the back. The new one is more like what people know from the Bergepanther.

From old pictures I saw that there is not the one design, so it looks like a lot of changes were made out in the field.

Further I added a work bench on the back and a small welding device will follow soon.

At the moment I think about offering these parts as a remodeling set. So if anybody would be interested, please feel free to leave a comment or to send me a PM.

Bergepanzer III in 1/144

At the moment I work on several new projects. Nearly done is my new Bergepanzer III, based on a Dragon Panzer III and a rebuilt from myself.
Here some pictures about the upcoming dioramas and models:

Above the overview with all new items, a new narrow gauge train in 1/144, a kit to refit the Cromwell into a recovery tank, a second kit for the Famo with recovery utilities, and the Bergepanzer III.
Last but not least I work on this street scenery, which should be located somewhere in Italy.

Russian Workshop with ZIS 5 in 1/144

So here are the final pictures:

Russian tank workshop PARM- A on ZIS 5 part 1

With a picture frame from Ikea, I build here a small diorama with my second 3D designed model. It's a ZIS 5 with a maintenance body. The cabin, frame and the wheels are from Panzer Depot.

At the beginning I had only a raw idea, I wanted to show the repair crew with a Russian tank. Best fit, of course a T34.

The ZIS 5 from Panzer Depot together with the cabin from me. I had to add only some material above the driver's cabin, here the print had a mistake, or better my drawing.

The first layout, at this time I was still changing the arrangement.

Okay a small house in the corner could be nice.
The house will be cut of plastic sheets. The roof will be paper. On the walls outside I plastered a kind of creme to give it a more realistic appearance.

Second variance. The tank would be now on the middle of the diorama and the truck would be placed on the road.

A side view, the house now with its paper roof, but still not final.

The ZIS 5 is nearly done, painting and some details are missing but so far I like my 3D design.

A view from in between, I still need to put a bit more effort on the house.

I filled up the field with some kind of grass, actually it should be something like corn.
The ZIS is finally painted, but I do not like the paint.

Here for the first time the Preisers climb on the tank. They will be later the workers who have to repair the tank. At the tank I opened the driver"s door.
A side view of the house.

A view from above.

I started working on the trailer. This was a 3D print to, but the design needs a lot f improvement.

Russian tank workshop with welding trailer in 1/144

In the last days I worked on a small trailer for my ZIS 5 repair truck.
As the truck is done I was thinking about something to pimp the diorama up.
So I ended with the idea on an trailer.
Here the first preview, the complete diorama will come in the next days.

SdKfrz 251 Pionierausfuehrung in 1/144

At the moment I work again on a Pionierfahrzeug.
It"s not that big challenge, so I took one of the 21th century models of an Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251 and added the Pionierbruecke or as is was officially called: Sturmbrücke.
On a lot of pictures you can see, nearly every position for fixing was possible. While the original was, fixing on the two holders on the side walls, I saw pictures where the bridge was fixed directly on the sides.

Bergehetzer in 1/144

I try to get my Bergehetzer finished in the next days. At the moment I do a lot of progress.
Inside I added the seat for the driver and the open box for the small parts. On the side I have the crane and on the other side a piece of wood. On the end I have to add a piece to guide the wire for the winch and then it should be finished.
As a source I use pictures from built models in the scale 1/72 and bigger. If you check the internet for pictures of original Bergehetzers you will be very disappointed.
There are not that much. Mostly you will find the pictures from the prototype in the Prague factory. This was the version with the spade. How many of them found the way to the troops? I have no idea but even in all books I know, you see no picture of any Bergehetzer with a spade in real action. So this brings me to the point, if you decide to build a Bergehetzer, just do what you want, most of them were modified in field in several different ways.

some older dioramas

As I just came back from a one week trip to Europe I had no time to do anything. Therefore I open my archive of old works.

Just enjoy.

small diorama "Hetzer in Hinterhalt" / "Hetzer in ambush"

For this as for many other small dioramas I use small picture frames which I get for 1 USD.
I take the glass and paper out and fill it with a piece of foam board.  There i mark the dimensions on which I can place the scenario. With a air drying powder I created some small basics so that I can use them for different dioramas. Below is one with a wall.

The frame which I get for just 1 Dollar.

You have only to consider that most air drying stuff is shrinking a lot. Therefore I had to extend everything later again. My mistake!
