I continue with some more trailers. Next on my wishlist is the heavy Sonderanhänger 116.
This was a typical German design, excellent, but hard to produce as it was technically very challenging. The handling was very complicated if you compare it with other tank trailers.
For recovery you had to remove the back part, put the tank on the platform, raised it and connected to the dolly.
For the 1/144 version I decided to go with a new concept. I designed it from beginning in two versions, one with the minimum wall thickness of 0.7 mm and the special version for FUD, Frosted Ultra Design and 0.5 mm wall thickness. So I got two Sonderanhänger 116 in 1/144.
Okay, the FUD version I have to redesign, the material looks wonderful, but it breaks much faster than I expected.
The good point, you can present the tank trailer 116 in both versions, with the two dollies connected or with the back dolly removed and ready to pick up your tank.
