Sprengboot Linse als Set

Das Sprengboot Linse war, wie so viele andere Ideen, zu spät, schlecht umgesetzt, zu schnell entwickelt.

Die Idee war ansich nicht grundlegend falsch. Auch heute gibt es noch diese Idee als Ansatz, z.b. vor Somalia setzten Priaten mit kleinen und schnellen Booten den grossen Schiffen zu.

Zurück zu unserem Sprengboot. Diese operierten als 3er Team. Es gab ein Führungsboot und zwei mit Sprengstoff gefüllte Einsatzboote. Die letzteren sollten mit hoher Geschwindigkeit auf die Ziele zurasen und die Bootsführer rechtzeitig ins Wasser springen. Während die Boote auf die Ziele rasten und dort explodieren würden, würde das 3. Schiff, das Führungsboot, die beiden anderen Bootsführer aus dem Wasser fischen und zusammen zur Basis zurückkehren. Wirklich erfolgreich waren die Boote nie. 

Das Modell:

Mein Set besteht aus 2 Sprengbooten und einem Führungsboot (hatte hinten noch weitere Sitzbänke).

Zur Bemalung kann ich leider nicht viel sagen. 

Demnächst, also kurz vor Weihnachten wird es wahrscheinlich auch das Sprengboot auf einem Anhänger geben.

Blasting boat Linse as set in 1/144

The Sprengboot Linse was, like so many other ideas, too late, poorly implemented, developed too quickly.

The idea itself was not fundamentally wrong. Even today there is still this idea as an approach, e.g. off Somalia Pirates attacked the big ships with small and fast boats.

Back to our blasting boat. These operated as a team of 3. There was a lead boat and two boats filled with explosives. The two explosive boats were supposed to race towards the targets at high speed and the boatmen were supposed to jump into the water in time. While the boats raced towards the targets and exploded there, the 3rd boat, the leader boat, would fish the other two boatmen out of the water and return to the base together. The boats were never really successful. 

The model:

My set consists of 2 blasting boats and a lead boat (had more benches in the back). Unfortunately I cannot say much about the painting. Soon, just before Christmas, there will probably also be the blasting boat on a trailer. The Link to order is as always in the middle of the article.
