Back from vacation

So the summer time is over for me - as far as vacation is meant. The vacation with the kids from Switzerland was amazing. But not only that I had a nice time with them, they brought me some foam plates and other stuff which is hard to get here.
Anyway, I promised to publish some better pictures from my last photo shooting. You remember this grey unclear picture I posted.
So what was it? Yes it is an American Bunker from World War II.
The Bunker is located close to San Francisco and was if I’m right a kind of command post for the big guns at the entrance of the San Francisco port.
So here are some more pictures. I know the quality is not that good, but that day it was fucky and raining. I hope you like them anyway.

Here is the link to the folder with all pictures:

Summer break

Today a bigger part of my family arrived. They will stay with us together for the next three weeks. Therefore my tanks have to share their room with two of the kids. (Happy that the girls are not interested in tanks). So the next three weeks no new update.
Below you will find one small update of my road blockade which just came back from the printing.
And a small surprise, I’m sure you will have no idea what it is, more and better pictures when I’m back from vacation.

above the Bunker I visited ast weekend.
Here a short update on the Italian road blockade:

Russian tank train, stop for gas

While I have to wait for getting my street blockage printed, I started to finish another diorama. First of all I wanted test my new grass tool. This tool I bought via Ebay in China and for the price of 35 USD I have to say it works perfectly. So I built a small train terrain with a lot of grass. As I had to put something on the rails, I decided to use my Russian train draisine. Here the first picture, I hope to get it done by end of next week.

My next project: the road blockade in Arco Felice

From a French Military Magazine I got a sketch from some Italian and German fortifications in Italy during WWII. I used one of these drawings to create a 3D drawing out of it. So I got a much better feeling for the structure and the dimensions of the obstacle.
Here one of the existing pictures showing the road blockage during the fighting. I believe it was The Luftwaffen Unit “Hermann Goering” who fought in this area.
While I searched the Internet for more information I found a very interesting blog, here you can find some other pictures.
So for me it looks like that these road blockages existed in several places with some smaller variations.

Here my 3D file for the road blockage:
