1/144 work in progress new models and new dioramas

At the moment I try to finish several stuff parallel. So between paining the tanks, trailers and others, I design new stuff. I would like to place my next order as an Eastern gift for me. But at the moment the latest design still has too much errors and holes. So as Shapeways said, your design needs a bit more love.
So while I keep you waiting I will show you some of my ongoing projects.

At the moment I build a small diorama in 1/144 for my brand new Flak. Here the work is mostly done, but I would like to add a second scenery to this diorama.
I will take the same base but would like to show a winter scenery. The Flak will be the same, the 5 cm Flak will be published soon I only need to correct some small mistakes.

My second project at the moment is a ship again. But this type of ship is even less known as the Marinefährprahm or the Artilleriefährprahm. It is called Infanterietransporter. Developed from the Siebel group, the same team of constructors who had the idea for the Siebel Ferries. More details can be found here: http://historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/landungsfahrzeuge/infanterietransporter/beschreibung.php

And here are the original pictures from the finish archive: click me

There are several wonderful pictures from some Infranterietransporters, used by the German Navy in Finland during WWII.

A second and third version are on the way, so I have to think about a small scene in a harbour.

Miag 5000 a new 1/144 crane for German Wunderwaffen 09/52

There were several last chance weapons, they all had in common, they would win the war. More or less. Most of them were different types of rockets. With one of them I saw a very interesting crane. After some hours of research, I had all I needed to design it. And here is my new Luftwaffe crane for all Wunderwaffen Abteilungen. Maybe one or two Wunderwaffen will follow in the next weeks. Let`s see. The crane is a Miag K 5000 from a small German factory. The Miag was used by the Luftwaffe and then later by several Trials for the German Wunderwaffe Tests.

For painting you can use any dark grey colour.

By the way, while I was looking for dimensions and other helpful stuff for the Miag K 5000, the Company still existists and builds cranes and fork lifters.

1/144 Kettenkrad with trailer 08/52

I found time to paint te trailers for the Kettenkrad. The assembly of the Kettenkrad is a bit critical, you have to work very careful, a lot of very small and thinny parts.

1/144 new Opel Blitz version for the African Campains (Opel Blitz with 2 cm Flak) 07/52

The idea for this combination came to me by accident. I was looking for something totally different, but I like this Opel Blitz version. And after building the Opel Blitz with the wood generator and as a fire engine, this was not more than the quick combination of stuff I already had designed.

I found some nice variants of this model with an armored cabin. They say, that such a Opel was used by the German Wehrmacht in France in 1944 / 1945. As I do not found any picture, I decided to keep hands of from this mystery. My Opel Blitz was used during the African campaign by the Anti Aircraft Abteilung JG.27 in Libya somewhen in 1942

coming soon: 12,8 cm Flak 40 German heavy AA-gun in 1/144 06/52

A friend of mine asked me for a special model, the heavy Flak 12,8 cm Flak 40.
This was a very deadly weapon, which was used in the role as an anti aircraft cannon. Most known is the twin version, which was installed on all Flak Towers, in Berlin, in Hamburg and in Wien (Vienna).
But he wanted the single version, so I started the search. On the internet I do not found that much information, most is written about the 12,8 cm twin Flak and it is hard to find some pictures of the standard version.
The standard 12,8 Flak came with two different versions. At the beginning it was equipped with the cross frame, as used with the 8,8 Flak. Later the Germany tried to mobilize the Flak and changed to a different frame. At the moment I will do only the cross frame, maybe later I will add the second version.

So here my first preshots, I still have to scale it and modify some details.

Fertig German field kitchen as a field modification on a 3-ton trailer

While surfing the internet I found an interesting picture of a German unit somewhere on the Eastern Front. They had taken a 3-ton trailer and constructed on the platform a bigger field kitchen. I knew from the flied kitchen transported and used on the Einheits-Diesel, but a complete kitchen trailer was new for me. Taking the 3-ton trailer as a basis, I designed with these pictures on the hand a German field kitchen trailer. After half a day it was ready to be used with any German unit on all theatres.
