43/52 Das Jahresende naht

 Jahresende

Für den einen oder anderen mag es noch zu früh sein, um jetzt schon ans Jahresende zu denken. Aber, nachdem bei uns in den Kaufhäusern und Supermärkten schon Lebkuchen und Weihnachtsgebäck verkauft wird, lohnt es sich darüber nachzudenken, wie lange es noch bis Weihnachten und Silvester ist. Das hat mich auf den Gedanken gebracht, dass ich vielleicht noch eine kleine Bestellung bei Shapeways zum Jahresende schaffen könnte. Ein paar Modelle sind schon fertig und einen kleinen Leckerbissen zum Jahresende habe ich mir auch schon überlegt. Das Modell ist nicht zu kompliziert und besteht aus vielen unabhängigen Teilen, so dass ich es in einer vollständigen oder auch nur häppchenweise vorstellen kann. Um dann allen noch die Nase lang zu machen, das Modell fährt auf Gleisen, hebt aber auch ganz schön ab, und hat auch einen Feuerwehrwagen dabei. Schwimmen kann es nicht, aber sonst ist alles drin.

Neben meinem neuen Modell(en) habe ich noch diverse Wünsche von Kunden, die ich auch versuchen will, alle bis zum Jahresende zu erfüllen.

End of the year

For some people it may be too early to think about the end of the year. But, with department stores and supermarkets already selling gingerbread and Christmas cookies, it's worth thinking about how long it is until Christmas and New Year's Eve. That got me thinking that I might be able to manage a small end-of-year order at Shapeways. I have a few models ready to go and a little end of the year treat in mind. The model is not too complicated and consists of many independent parts, so I can present it in a complete or even just in tidbits. Then, just to give everyone a run for their money, the model runs on tracks, but also takes off quite nicely, and also has a fire truck with it. It can't swim, but everything else is there.

Besides my new model(s), I still have several wishes from customers, which I will also try to fulfill all by the end of the year.

Auch die beiden Büssing NAG 900 Busse habe ich endlich fertig. Zur Freigabe des 3D Modelles musste ich aber noch ein paar kleinere Anpassungen vornehmen, so wird der Einbau der Inneneinrichtung etwas leichter. Auf das Anbringen einer Verglasung habe ich aber verzichtet.

Per Zufall habe ich auch ein Video gefunden, dort sieht man ab der 52. sec. wie der Bus auf einen Innenhof einfährt.

I also finally finished the two Büssing NAG 900 buses. But for the release of the 3D model I had to make some minor adjustments, so the installation of the interior will be a bit easier. However, I did not add any glazing.

By accident I also found a video, there you can see from the 52nd sec. how the bus enters a courtyard.

41/52 Bailey Bridge in 1/144 Diorama

Heute stelle ich ein weiteres Modell aus meiner letzten Bestellung vor. Die amerikanische Bailey Brücke. Der Bausatz besteht aus genau drei Teilen. Die Brücke sowie die beiden Rampen am Ende. Die Brücke kommt als verstärkte Version, d.h. die Träger sind auf jeder Seite doppelt verbaut. 

Eisenwoher soll die Bailey Brücke mal als eines der wichtigsten Entwicklungen  zu gewinnen des Krieges gegen Deutschland beschrieben haben. 

Die Bailey Brücke besteht aus mehreren verschiedenen Elementen, die aber alle vom Gewicht her, noch von Menschen getragen und bewegt werden konnten.

Zur Darstellung der Brücke, habe ich ein kleines Diorama gebaut, welches eine amerikanische Panzereinheit beim Überquerren, eines Flusses in Italien zeigt.

Today I present another model from my last order. The American Bailey Bridge. The kit consists of exactly three parts. The bridge and the two ramps at the end. The bridge comes as a reinforced version, i.e. the girders are double on each side. 

Eisenwoher is said to have described the Bailey Bridge as one of the most important developments to win the war against Germany. 

The Bailey Bridge consists of several different elements, but all of them could still be carried and moved by humans.

To represent the bridge, I have built a small diorama, which shows an American tank unit crossing a river in Italy.

Mit der Autocannone auf Basis des Lancia 3 Ro habe ich jetzt erst einmal alle Varianten des Lancia LKWs umgesetzt. Es gäbe noch eine gepanzerte Version, die wurde wohl ein oder zweimal gebaut und während des Abfalls Italiens von dem Bündnis mit Deutschland verwendet. Doch die schenke ich mir. Einzig eine Variante könnte ich mir überlegen: der Lancia 3 Ro mit Einheitsführerhaus, so wie er in Italien später für die Wehrmacht gebaut worden war.

Heute stelle ich alle fertigen Varianten vor, diese sind in 1/144 auch alle im Shop zum Verkauf freigegeben. Die anderen Maßstäbe kommen, sobald ich mal wieder etwas mehr Zeit habe. 

Mein Lieblingsmodell ist die Busform des LKWs, diese wurde zusammen mit einem Lancia mit Pritsche als Feldinstandsetzungseinheit eingesetzt.

Die Autocannone kommt einmal als Einzelmodell, aber auch als Set mit dem zugehörenden Munitions-LKW. 

Den LKW mit dem Wasser bzw. Tankaufbau habe ich schon mal kurz vorgestellt, dieses Set ist jetzt auch freigeschaltet.

Damit die Modelle auch alle im richtigen Umfeld fotografiert werden können, habe ich ein kleines Diorama gebaut, eine Wasserstelle irgendwo in Nordafrika, sagen wir in der Cyranka. Alle Gebäude sind aus dünnem Styrodur hergestellt. Die Platten habe ich mit einem Heißdraht-Gerät zugeschnitten und dann verklebt. Noch diverse Ergänzungen, etwas Spachtelmasse und fertig. Die Palmen habe ich mal günstig in China gekauft, müssen halt farblich noch nachbehandelt werden.

With the Autocannone based on the Lancia 3 Ro I have now for the time being realized all variants of the Lancia truck. There would still be an armored version, that was probably built once or twice and used during Italy's fall from the alliance with Germany. But I don't want to do that. Only one variant I could think about: the Lancia 3 Ro with unit cab, as it was later built in Italy for the Wehrmacht.

Today I present all finished variants, these are in 1/144 also all released in the store for sale. The other scales will come as soon as I have some more time. 

My favorite model is the bus form of the truck, this was used together with a Lancia with flatbed as a field maintenance unit.

The Autocannone comes once as a single model, but also as a set with the associated ammunition truck. 

So that the models can all be photographed in the right environment, I have built a small diorama, a watering hole somewhere in North Africa, say in the Cyranka. All buildings are made of thin styrodur. I cut the plates with a hot wire device and then glued them. Some additions, some putty and it's done. The palm trees I bought cheap in China, just need to be color treated.

Heute stelle ich mal endlich die beiden Sets mit den Varianten des Willies Jeeps vor. Beide Sets sind auch schon im Shop erhältlich.

Zu den Modellen gibt es nicht viel zu sagen, wer eine andere Qualität oder Masstab haben möchte, soll sich bitte melden.

Für den Jeep in der Feuerwehr-Ausführung werde ich vielleicht noch eine andere Variante zeichnen, ich habe vor kurzem ein schönes Foto gefunden von der Feuerwehr eines US-Bomberverbandes irgendwo in GB zu Zeiten des 2. WK.

38/52 Henschel Räumer in 1/144

Neues Modell für die Kategorie Baufahrzeuge: 

Henschel Räumer

Aktuell habe ich ja noch nicht ganz so viele Modelle in der Kategorie "Baufahrzeuge". Am Wochenende habe ich aber ein neues Modell gezeichnet, was ein klassisches Baufahrzeug darstellt. Heute kennt so ziemlich jeder die Bobcats, kleine bewegliche Kompaktlader mit zwei Rädern. Aber bereits in den 50 iger Jahren gab es die ersten Vorläufer. Die Firma Henschel baute den so genannten Räumer, ein Gerät welches viele Merkmale der Bobcats bereits aufweiste. Allerdings war die Gewichtsklasse eine andere. Das Räumschild war ganze 3,60 m breit, der Radstand aber auch nur 2 m. Es gab noch einige andere Neuheiten, die kann man hier nachlesen.

Das Original war aber nicht so erfolgreich, es wurden nicht allzu viele Exemplare gebaut. Auch die Quellen im Internet sind sehr dünn. Ich habe nur eine Seite mit vielen Informationen gefunden, dort habe ich auch alle technischen Daten und die Zeichnung her: Dies war auch die Seite, wo ich die Idee her hatte. Das Modell kommt zunächst erst als Modell in 1/144 daher, aber wer andere Massstäbe wünscht, bitte melden, das geht meist recht schnell.

New model for the category construction vehicles: Henschel Räumer

Currently I don't have so many models in the category "construction vehicles". But this weekend I drew a new model, which is a classic construction vehicle. Today, pretty much everyone knows the Bobcats, small mobile skid steer loaders with two wheels. But already in the 50 iger years there were the first forerunners. The company Henschel built the so-called Räumer, a device which already had many features of the Bobcats. However, the weight class was different. The blade was 3.60 m wide, but the wheelbase was also only 2 m wide. There were some other novelties, you can read about them here.

But the original was not so successful, not too many copies were built. Also the sources on the internet are very thin. I found only one page with a lot of information, there I got all technical data and the drawing: This was also the page where I got the idea. The model will be available in 1/144, but if you want other scales, please contact me, it will be done very fast.

Erste Neuheiten in 1/144 zum Verkauf freigegeben

Auch wenn ich noch nicht alle Modelle fertig angemalt habe, die ersten Modelle sind jetzt aber im Shop erhältlich, Aus Zeitmangel erst einmal nur in 1/144. Wer also einen anderen Masstab will, bitte melden. In den nächsten Tagen werde ich versuchen weitere Modelle fertig zu bekommen.

Deutsche Panzer-Lokomotiven; gepanzerte Lokomotiven der Reichsbahn

Gleich drei neue Modelle sind am Start. Einerseits die beiden Varianten der WR 360 C14 und dann die gepanzerte version der Baureihe 93. Daneben gibt es auch die russische Panzer-Draisine, die in grosser Stückzahl von der Wehrmacht (ich fand die Zahl von 18 Stück) erbeutet und nach diversen Anpassungen (Rahmenantenne) dann in deutsche Dienste gestellt wurde.

German tank locomotives; armored locomotives of the Reichsbahn

Three new models are at the start. On the one hand the two variants of the WR 360 C14 and then the armored version of the class 93. In addition, there is also the Russian tank trolley, which was captured in large numbers by the Wehrmacht (I found the number of 18 pieces) and after various modifications (frame antenna) then put into German service.
