09/52 neue Fähre, erweiterung für den Brückenbauzug

8 ton Wehrmachtsfähre aus B-Material

Irgendwie ist mein Rampenanhänger für das B-Brückengerät im Shop verschwunden. Wahrscheinlich habe ich es selbst sogar aus Versehen gelöscht. So habe ich mich hingesetzt und habe gleich noch einen Herzenswunsch eines Herrn U. aus K. erfüllt. Der wollte schon lange eine Fähre aus B-Material. Ich habe mich immer dagegen gesträubt, da Shapeways dafür einfach zu teuer ist. Die Fähre beansprucht viel Platz im Drucker, und der wird bei Shapeways teuer bezahlt. Aber irgendwie hat mich besagter Herr dann doch rum gekriegt und ich habe die Fähre gezeichnet. Damit alles auch dem Original möglichst nahe kommt, musste ich auch den Motor für die B-Pontons zeichnen, die verschwundenen Anhänger (Rampen und Bock) und den noch fehlenden Anhänger um die Serie komplett zu machen. Damit die Fähre auch anlegen kann, habe ich auch das passende Landstück gebaut. Die Fähre ist eine 8 ton Fähre, damit kann man ohne Probleme LKWs transportieren, aber keine schwere Panzer wie Tiger und andere Raubkatzen. Für die wurden später Faähren aus K-Gerät gebaut und statt vier Pontonhälften sprechen wir dann hier mal gleich von 16 Halbpontons.
So sieht die Fähre dann mit dem Landteil aus. Alternativ könnte man mit einem Ergänzungsstück auch eine 8 ton Pontonbrücke bauen. Das Modell kommt so, dass der Motor auch separat genutzt werden kann. Das Landstück muss teilweise noch geklebt werden. Wer wirklich eine Pontonbrücke bauen will und nicht jedesmal ein Teilstück mit Landteil kaufen will, soll sich melden, ich kann auch die Variante ohne Bockteil erstellen.

This is how the ferry looks with the land part. Alternatively, you could also build an 8 ton pontoon bridge with a supplementary piece. The model comes so that the engine can also be used separately. The land piece still needs to be glued in places. Who really wants to build a pontoon bridge and does not want to buy each time a piece with land part, should contact me, I can also create the variant without trestle part.

Somehow my ramp trailer for the B-bridge device disappeared in the store. Probably I even deleted it myself by mistake. So I sat down and immediately fulfilled a heart's desire of a Mr. U. from K.. He wanted a ferry made of B-material for a long time. I have always resisted, because Shapeways is simply too expensive for it. The ferry takes up a lot of space in the printer, and that is paid for dearly at Shapeways. But somehow the said gentleman got me around and I drew the ferry. To get everything as close to the original as possible, I also had to draw the engine for the B-pontoons, the missing trailers (ramps and trestle) and the missing trailer to make the series complete. To make sure the ferry can dock, I also built the matching land piece. The ferry is an 8 ton ferry, so you can transport trucks without problems, but not heavy tanks like tigers and other big cats. For them, ferries were later built from K-unit and instead of four pontoon halves, we are talking about 16 half pontoons.

The best book about this topic is a German  one, Waffen Arsenal nr. S-41 Kriegsbrückengeräte der Wehrmacht, there you learn more about all different types of material the Germans used, very helpful!
