Ankündigung neue Exoten in 1/144
Eigentlich bin ich kein Freund von den so genannten Papier-Panzern, also Entwicklungen, die es nie über das Reißbrett hinaus geschafft haben. Da wird oft wild kombiniert, nur um irgendwie was Neues zeigen zu können. Raketen auf Panzern sind z.B. so eine überflüssige Idee.
Aber das heißt nicht, dass es keine Modelle gibt, die doch schon eine gewisse Berechtigung haben. Heute möchte ich 2 solche Modelle vorstellen. Beide sind Panzertransporter. Das erste Modell ist ein Prototyp, dessen Existenz mit einigen Fotos belegt ist. Aber das Fahrzeug ging nie in Serie, wurde also nur ein oder vielleicht zweimal zur Erprobung gebaut. Bei dieser Kombination ist sehr viel unklar, teils weil es wenige Informationen gibt, teils weil die Fotos wichtige Details nicht zeigen. An dem Modell habe ich sehr viel Zeit verbrannt und immer wieder mit anderen Fahrzeugen aus der Zeit abgeglichen. Während die Zugmaschine noch recht schnell umzusetzen war, war der Anhänger eine einzige Katastrophe. Hier habe ich viele Annahmen treffen müssen. Zunächst bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass Panther und Tiger drauf passen müssen. Königstiger (Tiger II) und Jagdtiger würden mit etwas Überstand seitlich auch noch passen. Doch dann kam in einem Forum der Hinweis, nein, der Transporter war für Panzer IV gedacht. Also änderte sich die Breite wieder. Die beiden Drehgestelle vorn und hinten sind recht spekulativ. Auch konnte ich nicht herausfinden, wie die Panzer auf den Tieflader kommen. Wieder wie beim Panzertransportanhänger 116, indem man hinten abkoppelt, den Panzer auf die Ladefläche bekommt und dann alles anhebt und wieder anhängt? Warum die Wehrmacht es so kompliziert gemacht hat, weiss ich nicht, alle anderen Nationen haben bei ihren Panzertransportern immer mit einer Rampe hinten gearbeitet und den Panzer direkt per Seilwinde draufgezogen, Klappe hoch und weg.
Egal, alles Spekulation, wichtig ist, ich habe für den Anhänger auch eine Konstruktion gefunden und kann so wieder ein sehr seltenes Modell vorstellen. In diesem Fall, kann ich sogar sagen, ich bin der erste (Klein)-Hersteller, der dieses Modell auf den Markt bringt.
Der zweite deutsche Panzertransporter ist aber dafür aus Papier, sprich, er wurde nie gebaut. Dabei hätte er wohl auf dem Kühler einen tollen Schriftzug gehabt: Porsche. Die Rede ist vom Porsche 142 Entwurf. Dieser wurde von Porsche entworfen, im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung des neuen VK 3001 Panzer.. Porsche hatte hierzu auch Entwürfe eingereicht und sich auch schon Gedanken gemacht, wie das Thema Panzerbergung bzw. Panzertransport zu lösen sei. Die Konstruktion sah vor, dass der Panzer praktisch zwischen Vorder- und Hinterteil eingehängt werden würde, also wie in einer “Tüte” hängen würde. Da vieles noch nicht bis ins Ende konstruiert war, sind der Fantasie kaum Grenzen gesetzt. Das Modell kommt dann in den nächsten Wochen auch in 1/144.
Eine weitere kleine Ankündigung, ich werde wohl noch einen Panzertransporter am Start haben, aber das ist noch geheim!

Announcement of new exotics
I'm actually not a fan of so-called paper tanks, i.e. developments that never made it past the drawing board. They are often wildly combined just to be able to show something new. Missiles on tanks, for example, are such a superfluous idea.
But that doesn't mean that there aren't models that have a certain justification. Today I would like to present 2 such models. Both are armored transporters. The first model is a prototype, the existence of which is documented by a few photos. But the vehicle never went into series production, so it was only built once or perhaps twice for testing. A lot is unclear about this combination, partly because there is little information, partly because the photos do not show important details. I spent a lot of time on the model and repeatedly compared it with other vehicles from the period. While the tractor unit was quite quick to build, the trailer was a complete disaster. I had to make a lot of assumptions here. At first I assumed that the Panther and Tiger would have to fit on it. Königstiger (Tiger II) and Jagdtiger would also fit with a little overhang to the side. But then I read in a forum that no, the transporter was intended for Panzer IV. So the width was changed again. The two bogies at the front and rear are quite speculative. I also couldn't find out how the tanks got onto the low loader. Again, as with the Panzertransportanhänger 116, by uncoupling the rear, getting the tank onto the loading area and then lifting everything up and attaching it again? I don't know why the Wehrmacht made it so complicated, all other nations always used a ramp at the back of their armored transporters and pulled the tank directly onto it with a winch, lift the flap and off you go.
Anyway, it's all speculation, the important thing is that I have also found a design for the trailer and can therefore present another very rare model. In this case, I can even say that I am the first (small) manufacturer to bring this model onto the market.
However, the second German armored transporter is made of paper, i.e. it was never built. It would probably have had great lettering on the radiator: Porsche. We are talking about the Porsche 142 design. This was designed by Porsche in connection with the development of the new VK 3001 tank. Porsche had also submitted designs for this and had already thought about how to solve the issue of tank recovery or tank transport. The design envisaged that the tank would be practically suspended between the front and rear sections, i.e. hanging in a "bag". As many things had not yet been designed to the end, there are hardly any limits to the imagination. The model will also be available in 1/144 in the next few weeks.
Another small announcement, I will probably have a tank transporter at the start, but that is still a secret!
