18/52 Bunker For Eben Emael in 1/144

1/144 Eben Emael Bunker

the glider is from Pendraken (?) and in 1/144

in 1940 the bunker was just fresh, why you see no weathering

the backside ist foam, the bassement a picture frame

the guns are toothpicks, fixed on the backside wall

1/144 Eben Emael Bunker

When I started 3D drawing many years ago, this was my first project. I wanted to draw this bunker of the Fort Eben Emael. Unfortunately, it was a complete failure. When I created it, I chose the wrong scale and my model came out as a miniature bunker just about 4 mm wide.

Today I completely redrew the model again and made sure that the dimensions were correct. The Bunker was part of the Belgian fort EBEN EMAEL. The capture of the Belgian fort was the starting point for the west campaign of the Wehrmacht. The model is accurately drawn in 1/144. If necessary, or corresponding feedback, I could also draw other parts of the fort. Unfortunately the whole fort would be too big for 1/144 scale.

Possibly I will draw some more bunkers of the fort in the next weeks. I am thinking in particular of the main entrance.

one comment:

The DFS 230 was a key element for the conquest. My model is metal and from an English supplier, I think it was Pendraken. The model is only very rudimentary painted, I know.
