American and German landing crafts: Pionierlandungsboot versus LCM

Here some pictures from the American and the German version of a landing craft. While the German version is a bit older, the Americans started much later in the war with their design for landing crafts (what does not mean, that they started from scratch).

The Pionierlandungsboot 39 could be easily divided into two pieces and then transported by train, the Americans designed their LCM as a one hull solution.

Italien Field Fortification, Bunker in Calabria

While on Holidays the last two weeks, I found something very nice. A small Italian Bunker, not very strong, not very comfortable, but somehow interesting. We saw several of them parallel the coast line.
More 1/144 stuff will follow as soon as I have time to paint them.

German Einheitsdiesel as Radio truck with trailer

I combined my new radio truck with an old trailer which I had for several years. Now behind the radio truck it looks not that bad, therefore I decided to create a set.

Marineartilleriefährprahm 3D

It is done!

My birthday present is ready. I finished work on that project. While it took me more than 2,5 years to finish the Siebel Kampffähre, I can say the Artilleriefährprahm was done in less than 6 months. End of october I will get Prahm number two and then I will start painting the second one with a camouflage schema.

Kampffähre in 1/144 or leichte Flakfähre

I believe the correct name is leichte Flakfähre (there was a schwere Flakfähre with 3 or 4 8.8 Flak). But anyway if you search for Kampffähre you will find a lot of entries in google.
I just finished my own version and can show you the first pictures of the final version.
The complete kit is built from several parts, the platform is still handmade as a 3D print would have been to expensive. The only thing I realised, the flak on the top platform is not correct, it should be a 3.7 cm flak. But this version is still under construction and there were several variants on all seas.
So take a look at my Kampffähre and let me know if you like it. If someone is interested in purchasing one, send me a mail maybe I could create a set be be printed at shapeways.

coming soon, 8.8 Flak 41

I`m in the process of finalizing the design of my latest Wehrmacht model.
At the moment I design the German 8.8 Flak 41.
First I will start with the Flak in firing position but I plan to build the Flak on the trailer 204 as well. Maybe I will combine both versions in one print. First I have to correct some minor mistakes and have to add more details so that I can get it printed soon.
Here is a first preview of the 8.8 Flak 41:
