Neuheiten Sommer 2023
In den letzten Wochen war hier ja eher Funkstille. Wobei die Ruhe trügt. Einerseits bekam ich letzte Woche endlich meine Lieferung mit den Neuheiten von Shapeways, zum anderen bin ich schon wieder an neuen Modellen.
Die Funkstille hatte verschiedene Gründe, der Garten rief und da die Temperaturen mittlerweile sehr angenehm sind, musste ich doch den Kampf gegen Unkraut und Schnecken aufnehmen. Dann kamen noch ein paar ungeplante private und berufliche Herausforderungen dazu und schon flog die Zeit nur so dahin. Aber ich gelobe Besserung. Der Anfang machen zwei Fotos. Der Sturmboottransporter ist auf der Werft und wartet auf die Finalisierung. Ich muss noch verschiedene Details anmalen und die Sturmboote ergänzen, doch dann ist mein neuer Exot fertig. Weiter habe ich noch zwei neue Radargeräte auf dem Basteltisch, die waren auch sehr selten und kamen erst zum Ende des Krieges zum Einsatz. Auch fertig aber noch nicht angemalt ist der Mercedes L 10000, dies war ein Wunsch eines guten Kunden. Dann kommt noch ein Laffy Tankwagen, wie er auch von der Wehrmacht benutzt wurde. Zum Schluss habe ich noch einen Tankanhänger des DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps), der entstand eher zufällig, dies war wohl ein Umbau im Feld. Aber ich habe ein Foto, also kein Phantasieprodukt.
Der Tankanhänger kommt als Doppelpack zusammen mit einer Wasserstelle.

News Summer 2023
In the last few weeks, there has been rather radio silence here. But the silence is deceptive. On the one hand, I finally got last week my delivery with the novelties of Shapeways, on the other hand, I'm already back to new models. The radio silence had several reasons, the garden called and since the temperatures are now very pleasant, I had to take up the fight against weeds and snails. Then there were some unplanned private and professional challenges and time flew by. But I vow to do better. The beginning is made by two photos. The assault boat transporter is at the shipyard waiting for finalization. I still have to paint some details and add the assault boats, but then my new exotic is ready. Further I have two new radars on the tinkering table, they were also very rare and came into use only at the end of the war. Also finished but not yet painted is the Mercedes L 10000, this was a wish of a good customer. Then comes a Laffy tanker, as it was also used by the Wehrmacht. Finally I have a tank trailer of the DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps), this was made rather by accident, this was probably a con
version in the field. But I have a photo, so no fantasy product.
The tank trailer comes as a double pack together with a water point.

V2 Diorama in 1/144
Mein Vorhaben die V2 zusammen mit allen
notwendigen Fahrzeugen umzusetzen, ist wieder ein Stück weitergekommen. Im
Laufe des Jahres werde ich dann die nächsten Fahrzeuge vorstellen. Eine
Kombination, die ich schon etwas länger fertig habe, will ich heute zusammen
mit einem kleinen Diorama vorstellen. Die V2 auf dem Weg raus aus der Fertigung
zum Verladeplatz. Zum Ende des Krieges wurde ja versucht die Fertigung komplett
unter Tage zu verlegen. Dort kamen Feldbahnen für den Transport zum Einsatz.
(Unter Tage spricht man dann von Grubenbahnen).
Eine solche Szene wollte ich im Modell
vorstellen. Die V2 habe ich bereits, hier habe ich etwas geschummelt, die
Tarnbemalung ist nicht wie im Original, da habe ich mir das Leben etwas leichter
gemacht und eine Farbkombination gewählt, die mir besser gefiel. Der
Transportzug und die kleine Lok sind dafür schon wieder wie im Original. Der
Rest ist hauptsächlich Foam und Farbe. Die Bäume habe ich günstig bei Ebay
gekauft und farblich einfach nachbehandelt. Die Gleise habe ich komplett selbst
gebaut. Hierzu habe ich eine Montagehilfe benutzt, die ich mir schon vor
längerer Zeit, habe drucken lassen. Mit dieser Schablone werden dann zwei dünne
Streifen auf den richtigen Abstand zueinander gehalten und die Schienen können
geklebt werden. Da auf meinen Dioramen sich nichts bewegt, mussten sie keine
Funktion übernehmen und konnten entsprechend dünn ausgeführt werden.
V2 Diorama in 1/144
My plan to build the V2 together with all the necessary vehicles has progressed a bit. In the course of the year I will present the next vehicles. One combination, which I have finished a little bit longer, I want to present today together with a small diorama. The V2 on the way out of the production to the loading area. At the end of the war it was tried to move the production completely underground. There, light railroads were used for the transport. (Underground one speaks then of mine railroads).
I wanted to present such a scene in the model. I already have the V2, here I cheated a bit, the camouflage paint is not like in the original, there I made my life a bit easier and chose a color combination that I liked better. The transport train and the small loco are like the original. The rest is mainly foam and paint. The trees I bought cheap on Ebay and just color treated them. The tracks I built completely by myself. For this I used an assembly aid, which I had printed a long time ago. With this template, two thin strips are then held at the correct distance from each other and the rails can be glued. Since nothing moves on my dioramas, they had no function to take over and could be made accordingly thin.

Kaelble S 6 GGN 125 Panzertransporter
Das Modell schaffte es vom „Reisbrett“an den Drucker auch erst im 2. Anlauf. Gesehen hatte ich das Modell zum ersten Mal bei MGM, aber da dachte ich noch, es wäre ohne echtes Vorbild. Dann bot vor mehreren Monaten jemand ein Foto des Originals bei Ebay an. Da es im Internet keine Zeichnung und nur sehr wenige Daten zum Vorbild gab, musste ich mich bei einigen Details an den Ausführungen anderer Kaelble Fahrzeuge halten. Das Original wurde benutzt um Panzer IV oder andere Panzer zu transportieren. Die Krupp Werke hatten zwei solcher Fahrzeuge für ihr Gruson Werk in Magdeburg mit Kässbohrer Auflieger gekauft. Da es auch als Berge- oder Panzertransporter durchgehen würde, war klar, das ich dieses Modell haben wollte. Leider wurde es erst jetzt fertig, so wie viele andere Modelle, ich ich aktuell alle wieder hervorhole und endlich fertig zeichne.
Viel Spass mit einem weiteren Exoten der Wehrmacht.

Lancia 3 Ro, das Arbeitspferd der italienischen Armee
Neu, als Ergänzung meiner LKW Flotte, kommt jetzt auch der Lancia 3Ro. Der Lancia LKW war der Standard Lastkraftwagen der italienischen Armee. Er wurde überall eingesetzt, von Afrika bis hin nach Russland. Es gibt auch einige Fotos, die belegen, dass die Wehrmacht selbst auch den Lancia 3 Ro eingegliedert hatte. Zum Schluss, nach der Kapitulation Italiens, wurden einige 1000 LKW mit einem Einheitsführerhaus für die Wehrmacht gebaut. Der Lancia passt auch sehr gut zu meinem italienischen Panzertransportanhänger, Modell Viberti, den ich vor ein paar Wochen hier vorgestellt hatte. Auch habe ich jetzt ein Foto gefunden, was den Lancia 3 Ro mit Wassertankaufbau zeigt. Also kommt auch diese Version ins Programm. Aber noch viel interessanter fand ich die Ausführung mit der geschlossenen Kabine. Diese Version wurde in den Reparatur- und Instandsetzungseinheiten verwendet. Eine Einheit aus dem Koffer und einem Lancia mit Pritsche, bildeten den Reparaturzug. Etwas später wird dann auch die Artillerie Version kommen und natürlich die Version mit dem abgeänderten Aufbau, für den Transport der Munition. Wie schnell diese kommt, hängt aber auch noch anderen Dingen ab, ich muss noch diverse Feldbahn Bausätze für einen Kunden anpassen.
Sobald der Druck sauber durchgegangen ist werde ich das Modell auch wieder in den anderen Maßstäben anbieten.

Lancia 3 Ro, the workhorse of the Italian army
New, as an addition to my truck fleet, now comes the Lancia 3Ro. The Lancia truck was the standard truck of the Italian army. It was used everywhere, from Africa to Russia. There are also some photos that prove that the Wehrmacht itself had also incorporated the Lancia 3 Ro. Finally, after the surrender of Italy, some 1000 trucks with a unit cab were built for the Wehrmacht. The Lancia also fits very well with my Italian tank transport trailer, model Viberti, which I had presented here a few weeks ago. I also found a photo now, which shows the Lancia 3 Ro with water tank superstructure. So also this version comes into the program. But even more interesting I found the version with the closed cabin. This version was used in the repair and overhaul units. A unit consisting of the box and a Lancia with flatbed, formed the repair train. A little later will come the artillery version and of course the version with the modified body, for the transport of ammunition. How soon this will come depends on other things, I still have to adapt various field train kits for a customer.
As soon as the printing is finished I will offer the model in the other scales.

Typ V-ST-02 (Sturmboottransporter)
An diesem kleinen Leckerbissen ist ein gewisser Herr U aus K Schuld. der hatte mir den Floh ins Ohr gesetzt, nachdem ich die deutschen Sturmboote gezeichnet hatte. Ich kannte das Boot eigentlich nur flüchtig, obwohl ich das Buch mit den meisten Fotos über das Original sogar zuhause im Schrank habe. In dem Buch von Waldemar Trojca " Landungspioniere im Einsatz 1939 - 1945" ist das Schiff sehr gut beschrieben und alle bekannten Fotos finden sich dort. Zusammen mit der Dokumentation im Marinearchiv ja dann kein Problem. Dennoch hatte es Monate gedauert. Angefangen hatte ich direkt, doch dann war ich irgendwo vorn am Rumpf gescheitert, der wollte nicht so wie ich und dann musste ich noch die Rutschen zeichnen. Letzte Woche habe ich die Zeichnung wieder rausgezogen und alles fertig gezeichnet. Das Modell wird dann nach Ostern zum Druck gehen. Bis dahin habe ich genügen neue Modelle fertig, so dass sich die hohen Versandkosten wenigstens etwas lohnen. Aktuell kommt das Modell ohne die Sturmboote. Die müsste man dann extra kaufen. Grund dafür ist, dass ich bereits 20 Stk zuhause habe und nicht noch weitere wollte. Ausserdem habe ich nach der Fertigstellung auch noch ein Video gefunden, welches auch zeigt, wie die Stumboote anlegten.

Type V-ST-02 (assault boat transporter)
This little tidbit is the fault of a certain Mr. U from K. He had put the flea in my ear after I had drawn the German assault boats. I knew the boat actually only fleetingly, although I have the book with most photos about the original even at home in the cupboard. In the book by Waldemar Trojca " Landungspioniere im Einsatz 1939 - 1945" the ship is very well described and all known photos can be found there. Together with the documentation in the navy archive yes then no problem. Nevertheless it had taken months. I had started directly, but then I had failed somewhere in the front of the hull, which did not want as I did and then I still had to draw the slides. Last week I pulled out the drawing again and finished everything. The model will go to print after Easter. Until then I have enough new models ready, so the high shipping costs are at least a little bit worth it. Currently the model comes without the assault boats. You would have to buy them separately. Reason for this is that I already have 20 pcs at home and didn't want to buy more. I also found a video after the completion, which also shows how the Stumboote docked.

Naxburg Funkaufklärungsgerät
Heute stelle ich mal wieder ein weiteres sehr unbekanntes Gerät vor. Es handelt sich um das Naxburg Radar Gerät. Aufgebaut auf dem Standard A2 Anhänger, ist es nur in wenigen Exemplaren zum Einsatz gekommen. Es existieren zwei Fotos von dem Gerät, die aber leider wichtige Details nicht zeigen. Dennoch und gestärkt nach dem Erfolg mit dem Mercedes L10000 hatte ich mich daran gesetzt, dieses seltene Radar Gerät zu zeichnen. Die Radarschüssel ist ähnlich der des Würzburg Gerätes. Jedoch der ganze Aufbau und die Bedienung wurde in einer kleinen Kabine untergebracht. Was nicht erkennbar war, war der Mechanismus um den Spiegel zu schwenken. Da habe ich mich an der Aufhängung und Mechanik des Würzburg Gerätes orientiert. Auf jeden Fall ist es mal wieder ein Modell, welches man so nicht bekommen kann. Naxburg radio reconnaissance device
Today I present another very unknown device. It is the Naxburg radar unit. Built on the standard A2 trailer, it was used only in a few copies. Two photos of the device exist, but unfortunately they do not show important details. Nevertheless and strengthened after the success with the Mercedes L10000, I set out to draw this rare radar unit. The radar dish is similar to the Würzburg unit. However, the whole setup and operation was housed in a small cabin. What was not visible was the mechanism to swivel the mirror. There I orientated myself on the suspension and mechanics of the Würzburg device. In any case, it is once again a model, which you can not get like this.
