Also finished is my first french locomotive, the Billard T75. Together with the platform car of 1888, there are 3 new sets for the narrow gauge range. The first article about this, was here. If I have not yet converted a scale and you want this version (1/160 to 1/72 are possible).

The small locomotive was also used in the area of some Maginot bunkers, but inside the bunkers small electric or battery locomotives were used.

I already pointed out, the version with the V1 transport is speculative, but it just fits well.

07/52 1/144 Mini U-Boot Delphin

unbekanntes Mini U-Boot Delphin

unknown Mini Submarine Delphin

At the end of the war the mini submarine Delphin was developed. As so often, this one was started too late. Until the end of the war 3 prototypes were built and tested. Thus it comes for me also in question, since I would like to draw no fantasy products.

The submarine should carry either a torpedo under the hull, or an anchor mine in tow. I decided on the torpedo.

At the same time, I had the idea to represent the whole thing with a trailer. So, based on the model description on the homepage of the Wettinger Modellbauforum, I started to work on it and also drew a suitable trailer.

06/52 Pionierlandungsboot 43 Teil I

Deutsches Pionierlandungsboot 43 in 1/144

German Pioneer Landing Ship 43 in 1/144

I have once again delved into the realm of German landing crafts and have drawn myself another, or rather, 2 German landing craft at once. However, I will only present one today, the other one fell through at printing and I guess I have to make some adjustments so that it can be printed safely.

First I had started to draw the Marineartillerieleichter Typ II (MAL II). While studying the sources I found out, that this design was the starting point for the development of the Pionierlandungsboot 43. The name didn't mean that much to me, so I had to search in some books. On the internet you can't really find much about the ship / boat either. The ship was designed and built like many landing craft at Lake Constance by the Bodan shipyard. The specification was to use as many parts of the naval artillery lighter type II as possible.

By the end of the war, the Bodan shipyard managed to complete several examples and hand them over to the Kriegsmarine or to the landing forces (of the Wehrmacht). All the ships were used in the Baltic Sea and were themselves sunk at the end of the war. As is often the case, the number of surviving pictures is very limited, but it was enough to make the model fairly accurate. Unfortunately, however, I still can not offer railings, they break when cleaning the model and then it no longer looks nice.

As usual, all of the add-on parts are inside the ship. In addition to the attachments, a storm boat is also included, as the pioneer landing craft had a so-called storm boat chute at the stern.

Schlitten II as a complete set in 1/144

I already presented the small speedboat Schlitten II last year here in the blog.  Now comes the next step, the speedboat as a transport set, i.e. a Henschel D33 as towing vehicle, the Schlitten II and the trailer, which served as slip trailer, so that the speedboat could be launched directly from the trailer into the water.

The Schlitten II existed only once as a prototype, of the trailer I have found only one photo, so some details are pure speculation. Nevertheless, I constructed the model in such a way that the trailer can also represent the unloading, but when separating, be careful not to accidentally cut off the wrong parts.

For the store I reinforced the trailer a little bit, so that it is a bit more stable.

04/52 ohne Mampf kein Kampf, Feldküche in 1/144

Feldküche in 1/144

Field kitchen in 1/144

In the German language there is the saying: "Ohne Mampf kein Kampf (no fighting without food)". So I had the idea to draw not only the field kitchen in 2 variants, but also everything that is needed to operate a real field kitchen. The towing vehicle should not be a modern truck, but rather an older model. The set consists of 2 small tables / benches, 2 large pots, a field kitchen and truck and a field kitchen with wheels.

03 / 52 Natter Startturm der 2. // Bachem Natter launch tower the 2.

1/144 Natter launch towers

Already a long time ago I had drawn the launch tower for the Natter. So the drawing is a bit older and today I would draw a lot of things completely different. But as long as the print works, why change it? But then Shapeways contacted me and explained that a customer had bought exactly this launch tower and ordered it as an express delivery. The customer also wrote less than an hour later and asked me to see that the print would work. Unfortunately, after 2 attempts, Shapeways had not managed to create a clean print. So I had to update the drawing in a night and fog action and reduce the number of errors. Unfortunately, I also had a lot of work to do. But after 2 long evenings the drawing was updated and the print went without problems. Unfortunately, I am still not allowed to say exactly why the customer needed the print so urgently. The customer just said something about a pilot firm for Netflix, where the Natter launch tower would serve as a backdrop for a trick sequence.

Regardless, I had also drawn the wooden version of the launch tower with the last order. This one is of course just too spatanic and very very simple. But also this construction had served its purpose. Why one used both variants, steel version and wood pile, I cannot say unfortunately. But with photos both variants are proven. Probably the wooden construction would have been built much faster and would have saved the resources more. The Natter itself was also made entirely of wood to save raw materials.

02/52 Etwas für Flugzeugliebhaber

 Deutsche Luftwaffe im 2. WK

https://falkeeins.blogspot.com/

 German Air Force in WW2

No, I'm not really interested in airplanes. But fire engines or other special vehicles in this context interest me. Through a forum, where I am occasionally active, I have now found the following blog and found the photos there very interesting.

https://falkeeins.blogspot.com/

Sure the information about airplanes predominate, but there are always interesting photos of things with 4 wheels. Maybe one or the other is interested.
