Update für das Sd.Kfz. 8/12 Gaubschat Ausführung

Kurz nach der Veröffentlichung des Blogeintrags über das Sd. Kfz. 8, habe ich eine nette Mail aus Österreich bekommen. Mein Modell hatte doch einige gewichtige Fehler. Kurzum, ich habe das halbe Führerhaus neu gezeichnet. Zunächst war die Kabine länger, der Übergang zur Motorhaube völlig falsch, die Türen zu kurz und das Dach viel zu hoch. Zum Glück hatte ich das Modell noch nicht bestellt. Außerdem habe ich jetzt auch gleich ein Set für den Wehrmachtsender erstellt, das Sd.kfz 8 mit dem Gaubschat Aufbau und als Anhänger der 3-Achs Stromanhänger, so wie die Modelle auch im Original verwendet wurden. Wenn es interessiert, ich musste lernen, dass es doch mehr Fotos gibt und ein Original auch den Krieg überstanden hat und heute in Deutschland bei einem Sammler steht.

In dem Heft Nuts and Bolts Nr. 16 gibt es einen ganzen Abschnitt nur über diese Variante. Nochmals vielen Dank nach Österreich!

Update for the Sd.Kfz. 8/12 Gaubschat version

Shortly after publishing the blog entry about the Sd. Kfz. 8, I received a nice mail from Austria. My model had some weighty errors after all. In short, I redrew half of the cab. First, the cab was longer, the transition to the engine hood completely wrong, the doors too short and the roof much too high. Fortunately, I had not yet ordered the model. In addition, I have now also immediately created a set for the Wehrmacht transmitter, the Sd.kfz 8 with the Gaubschat superstructure and as a trailer the 3-axle power trailer, as the models were also used in the original. If interested, I had to learn that there are more photos after all and an original also survived the war and is now in Germany with a collector.
